GIGABYTE Brings AM4 Back with Its New B550 X Motherboards

In 2026, GIGABYTE is giving AM4 a second life with modern motherboards designed to extend the lifespan of Ryzen 5000 gaming PCs.
GIGABYTE has revived the AMD AM4 platform with its new B550 X Series, aimed in particular at builders who want to keep using powerful CPUs such as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D without moving to a more expensive AM5 and DDR5 platform.
The lineup includes Gaming, Eagle and AORUS models featuring DDR4 support, PCIe 4.0, dual M.2 slots and up to 2.5GbE networking depending on the model.
