AMD strikes hard with two new generations of components designed for gaming and content creation.

AMD continues to develop its next-generation processor and graphics card lineup to improve performance in gaming, multitasking, and content creation. The brand focuses on increasingly advanced architectures, improved energy efficiency, and integrated AI technologies for high-end builds.

Built on a 4 nm process and powered by the new Zen 5 core, the Ryzen 9000 offers up to 16 cores and 32 threads, up to 80 MB of on-chip cache, with native support for DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. The lineup ranges from the Ryzen 5 9600X to the Ryzen 9 9950X, all compatible with the AM5 socket and current X670 and B650 chipsets. Compared to the previous generation, the Ryzen 9000 series delivers better performance in rendering applications while consuming less power.

The X3D variants take things even further with AMD's second-generation 3D V-Cache technology. The stacked cache memory is now placed beneath the cores rather than above them, allowing direct access to cooling, higher base clock speeds, and improved thermal stability over time. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D stands today as the best gaming processor on the market, while the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 goes one step further with 192 MB of total L3 cache thanks to two V-Cache chiplets — a first for a consumer processor.

On the graphics side, the Radeon RX 9000 series based on the RDNA 4 architecture marks a major turning point for AMD. The new cards feature 16 GB of VRAM and significant improvements for high-quality gaming, including third-generation ray tracing accelerators delivering up to twice the performance of the previous generation, alongside powerful AI accelerators. The RX 9070 XT, the flagship of the lineup, boasts a boost clock approaching 3 GHz, a memory bandwidth of 640 GB/s, and up to 779 TOPS under AI workloads.

The RDNA 4 architecture also introduces FSR 4, AMD's first machine learning upscaling solution, exclusively available on RX 9000 cards. Accessible in one click via the HYPR-RX profile in AMD Software Adrenalin, it combines FSR 4, AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2.1, Radeon Anti-Lag, and Radeon Boost to maximize performance across virtually all recent games.
