NVIDIA has announced a major update for GeForce NOW, its cloud gaming service, now powered by the Blackwell architecture. This upgrade gives the platform graphics power equivalent to an RTX 5080, with support for DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, offering streaming up to 5K at 120 fps, plus new AI-driven features Key additions include the Install-to-Play option, allowing subscribers to install certain games in the cloud before they’re officially added to the library, and a new Cinematic Quality Streaming mode designed to enhance color accuracy, sharpness, and overall smoothness. Compatibility has also expanded: GeForce NOW now supports a wide variety of devices, controllers, peripherals, and even the Steam Deck, with higher refresh rates enabled on select displays.This update marks a turning point for cloud gaming, positioning GeForce NOW not just as a backup solution, but as a platform that can rival local gaming PCs—provided the internet connection can keep up.
