Hollow Knight: Silksong Finally Gets a Release Date

After years of anticipation, the sequel to the cult Metroidvania will launch on September 4, 2025, with expanded content and a Day-One release on Game Pass.
The long-awaited sequel to the beloved Metroidvania, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is finally set to release on September 4, 2025. The game will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox — launching Day One on Game Pass.
This time, players step into the role of Hornet, now the central hero, exploring the vast and mysterious kingdom of Pharloom. The game will feature over 200 enemies, 40 bosses, new acrobatic combat mechanics, and a unique silk-based healing system. Players will also be able to craft tools such as the Sting Shard and the Magma Bell, introducing more depth and strategy to the adventure.
At Gamescom 2025, a hands-on demo gave fans a chance to explore areas like the Moss Grotto and the Deep Docks, showcasing the game’s stunning art direction and fluid gameplay.
