Minisforum Turns Its New NAS into a 200TB Local AI Powerhouse

A NAS is no longer just a place to store files: Minisforum wants it to become a seriously powerful local AI machine.
Minisforum unveiled the N5 Max at IFA 2026, a NAS combining five hard-drive bays and five M.2 SSD slots for up to 200TB of storage, alongside as much as 192GB of unified LPDDR5X memory.
It can be equipped with the 16-core / 32-thread Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 and Radeon 8065S graphics, with Minisforum positioning the system to run AI models and agents locally alongside the user's files.
